Alright so I'm not a huge follower of the NFL off-season, and it doesn't help that I'm a Rams fan, but I've seen some rumours lately about McNabb to the Rams and even Vick stating he could be an impact player in St. Louis. Is there any substance behind any of those rumours, or does it look like they'll just go with Bradford or Claussen? And if so, can they afford to trade down to get either?

McNabb with that offensive line? Yikes.

I agree with Chesty. I think Vick would actually be a better fit but still not the right choice.

Delhomme apparently left Cleveland without a deal and is off to visit the Saints. No complaints here. Smiley

Well, he may get a chance to start in Cleveland whereas he will obviously back up Brees in N'Orleans, but Louisiana is where he was born I believe. Hometown discount to play for the Super Bowl champs. May be too good to pass up (no pun intended)

Do you think the Browns should wait for Rothlisberger to be released? I heard that Rooney may have reached the end of his tether with Big Ben.

Perhaps, BMan, but Delhomme has signed a two-year deal with the Browns. Not much to say but WTF. I can only assume Holmgren saw Delhomme last year and saw something noone else did.

So long, BQ.

Yep, Quinn traded to the Broncos today.

Yeah, and Kam Wimbley, another former first rounder, to the Raiders for a 3rd.

Well, Holmgren is cleaning house. We've got a ton of picks this year....

Well, at the very least it's been an interesting off-season for the Jets. Essentially trade a back-up safety for a guy with the potential to be the best #2 corner in the game and then sign Tomlinson to be the #2 back behind Greene. If Sanchez can keep developing, LT is still a pass catching threat out of the backfield and they can draft/develop some kind of help on the rush? We could be looking at a ball moving version of the Ravens.

I think the Jets could very well be the class of the league, or at the very least the AFC, this year. You're right, with that D, you don't really need an offense but the Jets will put up their fair share of points. I love that LT signing.

I don't know what to think of the Kam trade. Maybe a case of him not getting used to the 3-4..

I think the Raiders just got a whole lot better on their defensive line in a hurry.

As for BQ, yeah, the writing was on the wall. So long.

Cool story about Ty Warren of the New England Patriots.

Too bad more athletes don't think this way.  Surprisingly, it's NFL players that go broke the quickest after retiring according to a recent SI article.  NBA players (who I thought would have been leading this category) are 2nd.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5022064

The NFL owners decided to pass a change in the overtime rule that would give the team that loses the coin toss at the start of overtime to get a possession if the coin-toss winning team scores a field goal with the first possession.

The proposal was passed by a vote of 28-4 as written just for the postseason, but the owners have decided to discuss adopting the changes for the regular season at their next meeting, in May in Dallas.

For a 5th round pick. No joke, apparently.
