Thought that if it wasn't posted before people might like to take a look at this dandy by NK...Some slick hands on this goal for sure.

From Damian Cox: "After Nazem Kadri played a game recently for the Leafs as an emergency callup, the youngster was chatting with Wilson after the game when Phaneuf walked past, stopped, said something along the lines of "if you're going to be in camp next fall, you better show up in better shape" and marched on."

Toronto Maple Leafs coach Ron Wilson told Nazem Kadri to go back to London this year and get 100 points. After a slow start, Kadri nearly got there (87 points in 54 games). He's also the only player in the OHL's Top 20 scorers with 100 penalty minutes. That, in Brian Burke's words, is some "truculence" ...
After missing all those games at the start (while with the Leafs) and during the WJCs, I'd say he's done pretty darn well in that top scorers category.

If he had played 62 games or more he would have easily been top 3 in scoring and over 100 points for sure. On top of that, if he hadn't gone through the feeling sorry for himself process after the demotion back to London, he might have handily beat out Hall and Seguin to lead the league in scoring.
All in all a very good and encouraging season for him.
and LOL at Phaneuf saying that to him. What a great kick in the tail from his future captain.

Sorry if this is a repost, but after seeing the slick hands of Kadri on that gorgeous goal I saw this on Youtube and thought I'd pass on:

Kadri with 3 assists so far tonight to make it 90 points on the season. Nice!

That's pretty impressive given his start this year, his ppg must be, or close to, the highest in the league after his little chat with Burke.

His ppg overall is one of the highest. Disregarding his slump it could challenge for first.

I find it also very interesting that Taylor Hall's Spitfires have 8 players above ppg pace. Phil McCrae is the only other on the London Knights squad to have over a PPG. I think Hall might be overvalued here. (And on the flipside, Seguin more deserving of top spot).
