Nick Robertson traded to Pittsburgh

He clearly didn't like how he was treated the last few years. I still think this is kind of a mistake walk-in g from both Macelli and Robertson

Especially if you have to give up Knies and/or Cowan in another trade to improve the defence.

For Nick and his career, it is probably a good thing. He can crack a top 6 somewhere in the NHL which is where his talent always belonged.
I know he got his chances but there was always something missing with them - just a feeling.
The injuries ...
The toilet seat seasons where he was up and down using his waiver exemption to help his team fit players onto the roster.
I will ALWAYS respect him for the effort he gave. He always seem to give it his best.
Many times after they sat him out, he answered with a goal.
Good luck to him.
I'll be pulling for him against the other 30 teams.

This is fine. He had no shot at top 6 minutes with Knies, McKenna, Cowan, and bigger/better defensive wingers available on the roster. Better than when Treliving let Holmberg walk.

His brother, a RFA, allegedly turns down $120M in a trade to Seattle.
Nick, a RFA, gets traded for a 2028 4th round pick.
I feel for his parents trying to make sense of all of this to Nick.
I know, I know, they get paid big bucks ... etc

"Nicky, your brother has ALWAYS been better than you, at like, everything"
