It's been rumoured that the Leafs new 3rd/hometown remix jerseys this year would be an off-white/beige and blue colour scheme. This would seem to confirm that.

My guess is all these big guys in the next two years (McDavid, Makar, Hughes) settle in at or just around $20mil. Nice round number that will represent the new ceiling for a number of years to follow. Whether Matthews gets himself back into that tier obviously remains to be seen.

This should have been an obvious fake as he's definitely getting more than $18mil even on a short term deal I'd guess.

McCabe's rumoured to be going to New Jersey with Mehta. POS is a weird one. Always seemed like a dick online when he was trying to be more of a media guy. But that doesn't mean much about his player development skills.

I didn't really make the connection at first but yeah having O'Brien here full-time to continue working with Bob should hopefully be very fruitful for him.

Maybe Andy O'Brien was the 1 person in hockey who Simmons spoke to that was supportive of the hiring.

I wonder how many AHL teams have their own dedicated assistant GM, let alone two of them. Presumably this will lead to Bourque taking over the Marlies GM job in a year-ish with Hardy moving to more full-time Leafs responsibilities.

Also everyone was so down heading into it considering IIRC we were more likely to lose the pick than to even stay at 5. Just such a wild reversal of fortune in such a short time.

They were linked from their time in Arizona but Goldberg's still with LA so it's possible that was just lazy reporting or the fit just wasn't there anymore or they decided to avoid any possible tampering accusations by not hiring him at all.

Gold was considered a finalist for the GM job here, as well as in Vancouver. He's a Toronto native whose biggest strength seems to be navigating the cap/CBA. Wonder if the Leafs are looking to bring him on board to replace Pridham.

Ah yeah I was wondering how he only got a 1-year deal. Don't believe a Russian prospect coming over on an AHL-only deal is pretty common, but I guess it makes sense here. Obvintsev seems to have only appeared in 6 games last season in the VHL (Russia's AHL equivalent). 3 goalies on his team...
