18 back to backs.  Lovely.

All but one involve travel of some kind, too.

EDIT: Also, this:

DaveAMcCarthy: Biggest take #Leafs sked: 22 of first 33 games are at home (& all before Christmas); 30 of last 49 are on road. Better be good away from ACC

We could definitely be looking at another good start with a 2nd half swoon.

Ahhh. I can see you're getting a head start on snuffing out any positive vibes a new season and schedule can bring, months before the start of opening night. I suppose it's best to nip those in the bud early, before delirium sets in, eh? :P

Well, a home heavy start followed by a road heavy end . . . I mean, it's making things easy to read. Even bad teams tend to play better at home.

The hockey gods just don't like our leafs. Calgary has ten, quite a differnce.

Mirtle....Yes the Leafs have a ton of back-to-backs but they will also travel the sixth fewest miles in NHL hockeygearhq.com/nhl-super-sche? via @Forechecker

No excuses.

Meh.... I think that every team in the league should have the same amount of back to back. It only makes it fair all the way round. Just saying!

Back-to-backs for a team like Philly though who are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from NJ, NYR, NYI, and WAS are a little different than say a team like Dallas. I think the NHL actually manages that fairly well.

Yeah, just at a glance it looks like the most they have to travel for a back to back is about an hour and a half.

Hockey Gods have nothing to do with it.  Its the new Rogers-NHL deal.  5 of those are Sat-Sun, all for National Coverage of both games.

Don't forget that the WJHC is being hosted in Toronto/Montreal this year. That accounts for the 7 game road trip on either side of the Christmas break. That also happens to be the longest road trip of the year.
