2016-2017 Regular Season Schedule

Teams are announced the dates for their home openers today. Full schedule will be released tomorrow. So far, we know the dates of our season-opener and our home-opener:

Wednesday October 12, TOR @ OTT
Saturday October 15th, BOS @ TOR

Season starts a little bit later than usual because of the World Cup of course.

Maple Leafs Announce Schedule for 100th Season

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced their schedule for the franchise?s 100th season, with this year?s campaign commencing in Ottawa on Wednesday, October 12 before the team holds its home opener at Air Canada Centre against Boston on Saturday, October 15.

The Maple Leafs will host the first-ever NHL Centennial Classic?, an outdoor regular-season game at BMO Field in Toronto, against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday, January 1.

The Maple Leafs also announced today that the hockey club will return to Halifax, Nova Scotia to begin its 2016 training camp and host a preseason game at Scotiabank Centre. The Maple Leafs will play eight preseason games in total, with their other three home games taking place in St. Catharines, Toronto and Hamilton.

Further details, including additional plans for the 100th season, single-game ticket availability, broadcast information, and the training camp schedule will be released at a later date.

Man, it seems like they really pack things in because of the World Cup and bye-week. 3 months where we play 14 games each.

Looks like it, yeah. Though, with the compressed schedule, I imagine it's not an unusual situation this season.

14 in March. 13 games in January despite having a 5-day break in there too. End of the season is gonna be a heck of a grind.
Given the way a lot of rookies hit a wall in the second half any way I think we all better be prepared for a second half drop off next year.

That schedule is obscene, the NHL is so bush league.

Queuing up the Liljegren hype train.

I think the division is set up to help Boston squeak into the playoffs as much as possible.  They aren't even being subtle about it.
