For the twitter imbed-impaired:

Vermette traded to Chicago pending NHL trade call
-Pierre LeBrun

Blackhawks trade first-round pick and a prospect to Arizona for Antoine Vermette, still pending NHL trade call
-Pierre LeBrun

Klas Dahlbeck is the prospect included in the package.  A 2011 3rd round draft pick.  Not their top prospect by any means.

Guys, can we skip the tweet feature till they figure it out on Tapatalk?

It's making a lot of the forum unreadable at this time of year.

I'll speak for everyone when I say...no. It's new and exciting and cutting edge.

Haha I'd expect nothing less from you, sir!

Chicago better hope Vermette and Timonen get them deep into the playoffs. Personally I think after the Kane injury they should have thrown in the towel on this season. These are just panicked moves and I see the Hawks going out early in the playoffs and then twiddling their thumbs at the draft having blown their 1st and 2nd round picks.

One of the deeper drafts in the last while and 7 1st round picks have already been moved.  One of them has been moved twice too.

I think they know they're going to have to do some significant restructuring because of the cap this off-season so they're going for broke with the group they've already got it.

Let's figure out how to take advantage of them in the off-season.

Face offs aside, how much better than Santorelli is Vermette?

Just from a quick look at career numbers Vermette seems better in every way... 150 more career goals, double the career games (he's 3 years older) and 58 career playoff games as opposed to santorelli's 0.

I don't know how much sense it could make for the Leafs but Bickell makes a lot for that roster.

Bickell and Sharp are the two guys likely to get moved. I don't really have any interest in Bickell, but with just 2 years left on his deal I'd consider acquiring him if he came with a 2nd round pick or something like that. Basically just taking advantage of having cap space for once.

Yup, that sounds right, I don't have a lot of interest in him ( or Sharp for that matter ) but if you can get a decent pick back it could be worth it. I'd add that Bickell could be sold as a playoff performer in a deal down the road too.

Well sure if you want to look at the stats.....
