I'm shocked and saddened by this news.  RIP Wade, you were a great guy and a fan favourite.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and kids.  Sad day. :'(
 
Another casualty of the NHL. Its a shame - the beautiful family he left behind. This is on the NHL's shoulders, with 2 other pugilists dropping off this summer. Sick.

Not a happy start to the season - that's for sure.
 
This is extremely sad. Can't speculate as to what the cirumstances would be for him to end his own life but it can sometimes be difficult for players when their careers are over. Condolensces to his family.
