Game Notes

CHI
?Crawford (10-15-2, 3.22 GAA, .901 Sv%) will likely start for the Blackhawks
?It's been a tale of two seasons for Chicago: they went 9-18-5 in their first 32 games and 21-12-4 in their next 37
?3rd liner Patrick Kane is 2nd in the league in scoring with 98 points in 68 games
?Toews is back to being a PPG player for the first time since the 12/13 season. He has 71 points in 69 games
?Other notable scorers are DeBrincat with 68 points in 69 games, and Dylan Strome who has 41 points in 45 games with Chicago

TOR
?Andersen (33-14-4, 2.62 GAA, .922 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?No practice yesterday meant no line-up updates, so we don't know yet if Kapanen has recovered from his flu/illness yet
?The Bruins did the Leafs a favour by getting pummelled by Columbus 7-4 last night. So the Leafs have another opportunity to cut Boston's lead on them in the standings to just 2 points

Injuries

?Cam Ward - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Drake Caggiula - Concussion - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Travis Dermott - Shoulder - Injured Reserve
?Jake Gardiner - Back - Injured Reserve
?Kasperi Kapanen - Flu - Questionable Wednesday

Alright guys, remember the fundamentals. Forecheck hard to create turnovers, take your man out of the play on defense and try to refrain from any ethnic or homophobic slurs.

You think you're pretty smart, don't you Trebek?

That sucks. Hopefully it's a quick turn-around, like Kadri. I suppose the benefit is we get a longer taste of Matthews-Nylander.

Dear god you haven't said anything about wanting Sparks to start more, have you?

Thankfully no.

But I have said:
Moore shouldn't get called up as a yo-yo unless there's injury = Matthews and Ennis get injured
Nylander is a good centre and should get reps there = Kadri injured
Gardiner is important to the team and people should realize that = Gardiner gets injured
Holl and Marincin should get more starts = Dermott gets injured
Matthews and Nylander together is the playoff plan = Kapanen gets injured before the playoffs

I am starting to see the cosmic significance that our TMLFans energy has on the universe! Time to change polarity.

I think Sparks should get more playing time.

What variety of word salad do you need to send into the universe to have the Bruins go into a tailspin?

Yeah, this is pointless.  I'm told there's no way the Leafs could beat the Bruins.

Start of every game is the same.  Puck drops leafs immediately hemmed in their own zone.  Just once control the puck from the start.

Can't make a pass, can't take a pass, get possession, stripped immediately, scored on already!  Doomed!

Leafs being dominated again.  zero effort. And a brutal goal from Andersen. Remember, 2 goals is the minimum.

This team just won?t try.
