Let's see, we lost to them and Bob in C'bus.  Who knows what will happen, but it sure would be nice to end the homestand 4-1.

BTW this is the most talented Leafs team since ca. 1999-2002ish IMO.  It's awfully nice to be arguing about how we manage to win, rather than how much we manage to suck.

Quite!

I think this team knows they can beat the Jackets, and they'll be at least a little fired up to even the score.

I know eh. Just in terms of technical skill alone, it's crazy to think how far they've come compared to when Kessel first arrived and had no one who could keep up with him.

If they ever manage to tighten things up defensively, I expect it would make them a far more dangerous offensive team.

I dunno.  I'm complaining a lot these days about how much they manage to suck.  I do think they have some talent but Carlyle needs to be fired.  He is not the reason 49/50 shots didn't go in the net.

On another: good god is that ever a no-name roster Columbus has.

They're missing arguably their 3 best forwards and their best defenceman. The Leafs have to get 2 points out of this.

I am confident the Leafs can hold them under 40 shots.

James reimer is the expected starter tonight. Tyler bozak looks like he's good to go as well. #TMLtalk

jonasTSN1050: Tyler Bozak skating alongside Kessel and JVR this morning. Appears he'll return tonight from 12-game absence.

I don't know if their low minutes was related to Carlyle not really trusting whichever centre was on that top line in Bozak's absence or if it was related to a possible Kessel injury, but hopefully we see that trio start to play around the 20 minute mark again.

I'm a little more curious to see where Holland fits with Bozak back now.

On the 1st line with the Marlies? Not that he doesn't deserve to stay up, but, I mean, you know, Carlyle and all.

And of course here's my answer:

Paul Hendrick ‏@HennyTweets 1m
Bozak back on the top line. Holland drops to the 4th line. Smith and smithson appear to be healthy scratches tonight. #TMLtalk

Have fun with Orr and McLaren Holland.

Finally, some offence on the 4th line!

On the 1st line with the Marlies?

Personally, I would play him with Raymond and Kulemin to start games. If they have a lead going into the 3rd period swap him with McClement (who would be playing with Smithson and I guess Orr). Basically when the team needs offence he's on the 3rd line and when they need defence he's on the 4th line.

But if he's going to be stuck on the 4th line permanently I'd rather he go down and we save 30 spots in the draft.

And they're coming off a western road trip, there are NO excuses for the Leafs not outplaying this team tonight and winning handily.

Holland on the 3rd line makes alot of sense to me, as McLement is perfectly suited to be a 4th line centre. Of course I'm referring to a 4th line you can give 9-10 minutes to, not 3 and a half minutes and menacing glares.
