Game Notes

MTL
-Price will likely start for the Canadiens
-The biggest move of Montreal's offseason was the trade of Max Domi to Columbus for Josh Anderson. Anderson will look to rebound from a disastrous 19/20 season that saw him score just 1 goal in 26 games
-Montreal's signing of Corey Perry won't pay any immediate dividends, as Perry was unable to crack their forward line-up and will start the season on their taxi squad

TOR
-Andersen will likely start for the Leafs
-Toronto will start the season with a number of players making their Leafs debut: Barabanov, Bogosian, Brodie, Simmonds, Thornton, and Vesey
-After looking like he would be the odd man out for most of training camp Dermott is poised to start the season in the top-6

I'm a bit conflicted with sports being played right now considering the Stars had so many players test positive... But GO LEAFS GO!

GO LEAFS GO!!!

TJ Brodie or bust this season! Still worried about the D but I do believe this D group is better than last year. Still would like to see another true stay at home style D man in the mix.

Excited at the prospect of Matthews playing lighter and faster and being groomed for a more complete game.

Like the concept of a true shut down line Mikheyev/Kerfoot/Hyman and a useable 4th line. Could always double shift a top 4 forward with Spezza/Simmonds and have a decent line.

Worried that the North division is a little too soft and worried about what will happen if the Leafs move beyond that.

Would like to see Marner shoot more, says he will.

I want more from Tavares than an expensive JVR. He needs to create more of the opportunities, not just finish them.

Not sold on the idea of Vesey playing with Tavares and Nylander.

Not worried about goaltending until playoffs...

Not looking forward to playing against a Tkachuk 1/3 of the time.
