Chicago

I'm headed to Chicago in August. Looking for some recommendations on places to see and to eat. Already have Wrigley and Comiskey on the list as both the Cubs and White Sox will be home during my trip.  :D

One of the best tours I have ever been on is an architectural tour of Chicago. (The tour is on a boat.)

Chicago is a note-worthy city architecture-wise (because of the the fire). I didn't have a burning interest in architecture before, but it was an interesting look at the city.

I read about Chicago's waterfront being a people place (unlike ours in Toronto with the condo towers blockings parts of the view of our waterfront).  Chicago mayor Richard Bradley has visited Toronto a few times in the past (particularly under former mayor David Miller, to discuss and offer advice on improving T.O.'s waterfront).

Might be a worthy place to have a look and see just what it is that makes Chicago's lakefront stand out.
