Huge deal that make the Red Sox heavy favourites to repeat as AL East champs.

The BoSox rotation is definitely imposing. Price, Procello, Sale, Buchholz is a potentially lethal foursome.

Ya and not too crazy about the Jays signings. Now hear they might still be talking to Jose. Should have let him go and signed Edwin. Huge mistake.

I would have preferred they resign Edwin too, but I'm not disappointed in the moves they've made yet. I'll wait to see what the opening day roster is to say for sure, but I expect the Jays to compete for a playoff spot again.

It's not the Jays' fault that Edwin didn't re-sign here. The team offered him market value and Edwin and his overmatched agent decided that they could get more in free agency and denied it.

Now, it looks like Edwin might not even be able to match the Jays' initial offer of 4 years, $80M. This is a case of the agent overvaluing his client. On the plus side, it seems that Atkins and Shapiro have a good grasp of the current market though.

Will the Red Sox pitching staff hurt us? Very much so, but the Jays do have the second best staff in the AL and if one or two of the Sox hitters go cold, (like happened to the Jays this year), the Jays still have a good shot at the division.
