College Free Agents

The Leafs have had previous success signing previously undrafted U.S. college free agents in the past. Is there a player on Nonis' radar this year? Also what previous US college or 2012 CHL Leaf draft picks have to be signed this year or the Leafs risk losing their rights?

This was more Burkes method. I don't think Nonis has picked up a player from the US college system?

If I remember correctly Burke credited Nonis with doing a lot of the work on those signings. I think the thing is most college free agents want to sign with teams that have spots open for them. These past few seasons the Leafs teams have had more NHL players on the roster than back then.

A Nodule signs with Leafs?expected to be big on defense. Nodule skates faster than Phanuef, blocks more shots than Jackie Gleason and will lift the cup one day. It is written.

6'6" 240lbs I read on twitter.

If he can skate, he could make a real impact, seems to have some offensive upside based on his college numbers, especially for a stay at home type.

EDIT: He and MacWilliam could provide a dominating pairing on the Marlies.

Not a free agent, he was drafted by the Leafs.

The Nodule is 6'6" 240lb. and will make his debut shortly with the Marlies. If he can skate and hit he may just be the shut down guy we have been waiting for.  Barb please start working on making him the best skater since?.well?.yourself

Now that Knodel has been signed, I believe the only prospect that the Leafs risk losing the rights to if not signed is Ryan Rupert. Have the Leafs made any decisions if they are going to offer him a contract? And could it be a package deal by also signing his undrafted brother Matt as a Free Agent? The Leafs are perilously close to the 50 contract maximum depending on which UFAs they decide to bring back.
