Bolland
Kulemin
McClement
Raymond
Ranger
Bodie
MacIntyre

I would only like three re signings: Kulemin, Bodie and McClement.

Bolland - 1 year deal at a reasonable cap hit, I would consider it.  His abilities are being exaggerated to epic proportions because he scored the Cup winner and had a few points (10 in 15) to start the year.  Let's not forget that he had 6 points in that entire playoff run and that he's coming off a major injury that saw him return as a liability on the ice.
Kulemin - Probably the most responsible two-way player on the team.  Depends on the cost but he would be my priority to bring back
McClement - Led an abysmal defense and terrible PK
Raymond - Not worth the 3M he could command
Ranger - A place to upgrade the defense by having a cheaper 7th D-man
Bodie - Sure, if he's still cheap.  He skates well enough, put in an effort and scored the odd goal
MacIntyre - Meh, he's AHL fodder and Sparks is showing signs of deserving the reigns in the AHL

Ranger has not peaked in his NHL return yet. Too early to give up on him.

I think he probably has, really. He's a bottom pairing - a pretty good one, but, still a bottom pairing guy - and, if it wasn't for the fact the Leafs are almost certainly stuck with Gleason, I'd consider bringing him back if he was willing to sign a similar deal to the one he had this season. It's unfortunate for him, really, but it's time for the Leafs to start to filter in some of the young defencemen they have on the Marlies.

As for the rest, I'd hang on to Kulemin if he's willing to sign for roughly what he's getting paid now. I'd be open to bringing Bodie back in the same role he was brought in this past summer - depth on the Marlies that can step in as a bottom 6 player when injuries strike. I'd bring MacIntyre back for the Marlies, as well - I'm not sure Sparks or Gibson are ready for full-time duty in the AHL next season, and it's good to have a more experienced 3rd goalie in the system. I wouldn't want him as the full-time backup, though. The rest can (and probably should) all play elsewhere this season. Like with the defence, some of them should be replaced internally, and others should be replaced by cheap, short-term UFA signings like Raymond was this summer.

McClement is a plug who does nothing well. I wouldn't want him around for league minimum.

Except lead a top 5 PK last year.

Before I'd give up on him I'd like to see a strategic analysis of why the PK collapsed this year.  He was signed as proven PK specialist out of CO, and performed well last year.

As for Ranger, why?  Bring up McWilliam, Granberg, etc. and let them have a chance.  I agree with Busta as to the rest, pretty much.

After skipping to the conclusion (somebody needs to tell that guy to tighten up his posts) my takeaway is that McClement is not the problem, coaching is.

I think its time for kulemin to move on.  He is overvalued by some of the leafs fans here.

I agree with your second sentence, but if he would sign for the same money I'm all right with him staying on.

Asks for a strategic analysis of the PK and then doesn't even read it.  Nice one.

Id like to see what a healthy season from Bolland could bring but that seems difficult. Not one on that list excites to the point of a must return.. NONE of them deserve a raise based on this year. Let em all go

Id try and keep Kulemin, Bolland (bridge deal) and Ranger. Unless the plan is to blow things up and revert back to a rebuild plan, you're gonna need guys like this. Veteran presence with some skill and toughness isn't going to be easy to reacquire.

Bolland - Wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole, unless he's willing to sign for 1 year at 1 M.  Would rather target Brian Boyle for 2-2.5M.

Kulemin - As much as I love Kulemin, he either needs to take a pay cut (to the 2-2.5M range), or be re-signed as a top-6 winger for 3M.  What he brings for a bottom 6 role can be had for cheaper (ex: Bodie).

McClement - easily replaceable, and costs too much for what he brings.  Let him walk.

Raymond - Would take him back for 1-1.5M.  Otherwise, see ya.

Bodie - Would re-sign him to a reasonable deal for the bottom 6.

MacIntyre - Don't really care either way.

Can Bodie really bring what Kulemin does?  I've yet to see anything with Bodie that suggests he's very capable defensively.  I like what he brings, but in a 4th line role.

I think he brings pretty close to what Kulemin does and for much cheaper.  They both forcheck relentlessly, hit everything that moves, and play simple, smart games.  I agree that Kulemin has the edge on defensive play including PK ability, but in terms of price-per-performance, I'd take Bodie unless Kulemin's price comes down.
