Devon Travis out 5-6 months

Travis underwent a second surgery and will be out for 5-6 months recovering.  So it looks like Goins will be the starting 2B until at least June.

It may not be that bad, most reports out there are saying 4-5 months. 4 months from now is still spring training so he may just miss the first couple weeks of the season.

4 to 5 months until he's able to resume baseball activities, not be game ready. You gotta figure it'll take at least a month or so from there for him to get into game shape. So, late May/early June is probably the earliest he'll be in an MLB game.

Yeah, sorry, I was looking at his return to the lineup.  4-5 Months recovery time + 1 month of rehab to get up to game speed.  You have to keep in mind he's a guy who has 239 plate attempts at the MLB level.  We don't even know what calibre of performance he comes back with after two shoulder surgeries.

The first was just an exploratory surgery though wasn't it?
