Interesting.  And my friends worry about me living in California.  I'll have to give a ribbing to my friends in London, ON.

I work in Markham (hwy 7 & Woodbine) on the 5th floor, whole building was swaying. We were just allowed back in. Earthquake's feel so odd when you are 5 floors up!

Weird... I was pulling out of the driveway and didn't feel it but the dog was totally spooked as I was leaving the house. I had no idea what that was about - until now... I'm guessing dogs and some other kinds of animals can detect theses sort of things in advance? Or, is this just coincidence?

Some animals are more sensitive the more subtle, early effects of things like earthquakes than humans are.

Crazy. I wouldn't trade the ability to walk upright and my thumbs for it though. :D

Neither would I.

Apparently, there's some mild concern that this quake may have been a "foreshock" type quake, meaning a bigger one is coming, but, from what I can find, that concern is really minor and more of a theoretical potentiality than anything else.

Wow, just got back from NYC last night... would have been freaky being in a different city and seeing the Cops herd people towards parks away from tall buildings.

felt it here in Barrie too. Weird, never been through one of those before......You could feel the chair moving under you, saw the lights swinging a bit over the store, but no one down on the floor actually seemed to be aware, just those of us up in the second floor offices.
