Martin Landau was one of the most versatile actors of his time. Landau fans remember his roles that spanned an actor's resume -- from the '50's film "North by Northwest" to the '60's hit "Mission: Impossible (co-starring with his wife Barbara Bain, thus becoming the top husband & wife team on television), in the '70's In the television Sci-Fi series "Space:1999 (again starring with his wife Barbara Bain), where he played Commander Koenig. "Space:1999" was and still is one of the most expensive Sci-Fi television shows ever produced per episode. His film credits are numerous but it wasn't until his role in the later years, in "Ed Wood", that he won the coveted Oscar.
In the words of Sandra Benes in "Message from Alpha":
"Finally, to you, the people of planet Earth, we say goodbye and ask but one thing... Remember us!"
So long, Commander Koenig. As fans forever, we will never forget.
Rest In Peace.
