Brayden Schenn avoids salary arbitration by signing a four-year deal with #flyers.

Seems fair. Schenn's PPG in the past 3 seasons is 0.64, while Kadri's is 0.59. Schenn does get to play with guys like Giroux and Simmonds and Voracek though.

True, although Kadri doesn't do terribly in terms of his most common linemates over that same span. That said, his situation's been a lot more volatile and he hasn't really had consistent linemates the way Schenn has.

I have Schenn's PPG as being 0.60 to Kadri's 0.59 - did you include playoffs?

Nah, I just pulled a WIGWAL/broken calculator. Certainly gives Kadri a pretty big edge when you factor in line mates and circumstances. Schenn still has the edge in peak performance though, and it helps that it came in his most recent season. So I'd still classify his contract as pretty fair, but it just goes to show how good the Kadri deal is.

Never go full WIGWAL.
