Game: 49 Maple Leafs at NYIslanders 7:00PM RSO

Half way through the first, and despite that one good extended bit of pressure, only one shot on the returning from concussion Montoya...

So Tavares is far too good to be stuck on Long Island. There must be some way we can coax him to Toronto

Oh, if he could he'd agree ... in a, well, New York minute.

The shot totals they've posted seem completely out of whack. I swear the Leafs have had more than the 4 shots they've been credited for, and I'm not convinced the Islanders have actually had as many as they've been credited for.

Totally agree.  The shot clock guys are known to be homers sometimes.

The stat keepers in Long Island have been questionable for some time. I think there was a five year stretch where a different Islander was credited with the league lead in hits.

A lot of Leafs shots seemed to miss or were blocked. The Islanders have 12 blocked shots so far.

Just like Matt Martin is leading the league in hits by 30 this year?

The Leafs have had a lot of offensive zone pressure, but there have been a lot of shots that have missed just wide or over the net.  Aside from a little bit of sloppiness, the Leafs have actually created a lot of turnovers and have been quite good so far.

We're lucky to only be down 1 that could have been much worse. Hopefully they have a great 2nd.
