Nothing would make me happier than to see the Knights get swept in round 1... I mean other than the Leafs winning obviously.

What?  You're not into that feel-good Vegas story?

(Neither am I -- go Kings!)

Why don't people like the knights?  I think it is great that they succeeded.  Good for the league that a new team that comes in doesn't have to be trash for 7 years.

Yeah count me in on Kings winning too. Vegas paid no dues in league.. I mean good for them.. But they need to be knocked down a couple of notches

Well, I guess I'm in the minority it seems...I'd love to see them pound through the West.

I love that they've basically crushed all the prognosticators models this season.

I don't expect Vegas to win, but I'm not actively rooting against them. I think their overall gaps in experience will show, and it will really depend heavily on which playoff Fleury shows up.

While I think its really unlikely the Leafs could land Doughty, a loss in the 1st round for the Kings might make Doughty consider the Kings no longer contenders.  He's said winning is most important to him (although, i don't see him skipping on a HUGE contract either).

For that reason alone, I'll hope for Vegas winning this round.

Friggin Vegas won, their an expansion team! They know no pain or struggle.

I know right?  Fans who have immediate success and haven't had to endure years of losing.  "This is easy!"  Bah.

Doughty is having a hearing with the league about this hit last night:

Considering that a) it's Drew Doughty, b) it's the playoffs, and c) the NHL isn't exactly super serious about head shots, I'm actually pretty surprised they're even having a hearing.

Head doesn't seem to be the principal point of contact there.

Hard to say with that replay. I was trying to find other angles but couldn't see any posted. Either way, that's a tough hit for me to judge. I don't think Doughty was targeting that head and if the timing was just a split second or even less different then it's just a clean shoulder to shoulder for sure. I want the league to crack down on head shots but I'm not sure that's one that I'd deem suspendable. Should have been a minor penalty though (it wasn't called).

Yeah. Looks like he might have glanced off the shoulder first. Definitely doesn't look like he's targeting the head, so, probably not suspension worthy - maybe 1 game, just to be like "be more careful next time," but I think he gets away with a fine for being slightly careless.

Doesn't even warrant discussion in my opinion.

Vegas up 2-0 with a 2-1 victory in dbl OT. Quick was the only reason this game was close. Vegas outshot LA 55-30.Quick was outstanding.

Let's go 'Knights!  Good to see the support & enthisiasm of the fans and everyone there.

I would like to see this team win at least a series.  Playoff hockey in the desert and every success to it.
