Go not-Jets!

An expansion cannot possibly advance to the cup final?

Let's add a second team to Toronto so we can get cup to Toronto next year.

My favourite thing about this series is that one of these teams will definitely lose.

No points for guessing my least favourite thing about this series.

Haha. Is this going to be a destiny thing for the Knights? Who knows. According to Noodles, Fleury has let in 1 bad goal this playoffs..If he keeps that up, they have a chance. If Rinne only let in 1 bad goal, the Jets would be out. Going to say this series will be crap. Reason being, everyone said the Jets/Preds series would be great and it wasn't so....Would like to see Vegas win because most people are picking the Jets. Don't really care tho.

On the one hand I'm rooting for the Golden Knights, and on the other hand I'm rooting for a Canadian-based team to get to the Stanley Cup Final (to break this 'Canadian-based teams are no good' curse

It's going to be a fast-paced series no doubt.  The edge may very well be with the Jets.

Should be fun to watch.
P.S. Those Jets fans have already won the Stanley Cup of the "white towel wave".

Get a kick outta Simpson and Hughson. How many times they change their tune on the controversial goal. LOL.

I haven't watched too much hockey since the Leafs were eliminated but caught most of last night's game and it was terrific.

Apparently fast, always attacking hockey is both effective and entertaining.

Watching Schmidt goes up and down the ice all game was exhilarating. And then to not hear a single person point out how he's a terrible defenceman who doesn't belong in the NHL because his aggressive play left him out of position for Scheifele's 2nd goal of the game was confusing.

Those two saves by Fleury in the 3rd literally brought me off my couch.

I want to see Vegas lose, and hope they toil in obscurity for years to come, but Fleury is giving me the smallest of reasons to actually not mind if they win.  Him getting a 4th Cup would be pretty impressive.  One of the most likeable guys in the league.

I saw an interesting question yesterday: does a 4th Stanley Cup (and a probable Conn Smythe award if they win) get Fleury into the HHOF?

Vegas won.

With how things have played out, I now kinda want them to win the Cup, and then toil in obscurity for years to come. I want a first-to-worst situation.

And an Olympic Gold!

Will it? Probably, although he may have been in there already. Should it? Eh. You're still putting in a goalie in this day and age with a .913 SV%(which I have to assume is at best only a little better than league average) in the HOF and who has a spotty playoff record.

Is Mike Vernon still not in? He's someone who immediately comes to mind as a comparison.
