That's good, by the end of it Leafs could neither prevent powerplay goals nor score them.

I'm assuming the Leafs told Smith his contract wouldn't be renewed and told Hiller that he would be relieved of his duties, but the Leafs are letting them both quietly find new jobs first instead of announcing that they're firing them.

Maybe, but both would rather take head coaching jobs in the NHL than stay as assistants for the Leafs no?  The talk about them possibly getting new jobs was around before the Leafs lost round 1

I'm not convinced that Smith gets a head coach job. The only one he seems to be in the running for is Ottawa is there's a lot of guys they're talking to. Hiller has apparently received permission to talk to just about anyone and is most commonly linked to Nashville where he'd only be an assistant again.

Someone absolutely had to go after 3 straight historically awful special team performances in the playoffs. 3 strikes and your out apparently.

Can't get worse right? I welcome the change. I am picturing Bab's as Neo from the Matrix dodging bullets.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Hiller end up in Edmonton in some function with Holland there.  Smith long touted for a Head position, so he can go to the hated Senators.

The beauty about this is it gives Dubas some heavy input into the replacement parts and more control over Bab's.
