Keefe and changing opinions on players

It's only a handful of games but I find my self assessing our players in different ways than before Keefe's arrival.  It's really interesting to see the emergence of Barrie for example. From complete Dud in one week to complete Stud.  Wow what a transformation.  Others on the upswing;  Engvall, Nylander, Johnsson, Dermott, Soupman. Even Ceci looks a bit better in my eyes. Have to give kudos to Spezza and Petan (who has bought a little more time with me).

However other things are becoming transparent; you know I am a huge Goat fan, but perhaps its time either give him less time or trade him (to the Habs), whatever.  I am not sold on either keeping or letting go of Timashov, pretty sure he won't clear waivers.  Let go of Shore, for sure.  Muzzin not looking in place in the system, perhaps he needs a little more time to adapt.  Freddie is Fredo, this system really seems to suite his style of play.

However Mogen is my big question mark. Is he playing injured, what is going on. hopefully Keefe can help him turn it around.

My opinion hasn't changed on Barrie. Always said it was on Babs not using him the right way. Same goes for the rest of them who now look like decent players. Funny how Spezza looks fine as 3rd line centre for now? As for Timashov, he's a 4th liner and right now Engvall looks more of a player. Same goes for Goat. He's replaceable. Muzz is going to have to adjust to the new system. He will, no doubt in my mind.
Margan is def the biggest question mark. I think he'll improve as well under Keefe when he gets the system down. I find he tries to do too much and that often leads to him being out of position and making mistakes. Time will tell.

Kind of funny that last year Mogen was mentioned in the same breath as Norris.  Yes he had tons of points but the Norris is for a D man. This year he has not looked the same at all. And I do have two pet players on the team, Mogen and Goat (and see what I say about him now).

I thought the Rielly for Norris was way overblown. He had the points but he didn't kill penalties last year. He's never been that great at the D side of things.
And why do you call him Mogen? You like Mogen David or something?

Mogen is for Captain Morgan
Just me quirky ways

By the way forgot to mention Kerfoot, juries still out on him.
Seems to be taking to many penalties for my liking

Haha, nice Captain.
I think Kerfoot he has a bit of that gotta earn my contract/impress the new team scenario going on now. He's also playing primarily centre which he hasn't really done on a consistent basis yet. I like Kerfoot. I think there's a whole new level for this guy.

I hope so, I want to see how he fits in, lets re-examine him in 5 games and see where he is at then. Or 6 games. forgot he had one more to sit.

When is Marner back?  I want to see him unleashed with all his shiftiness in this new offense first mentality.

He got hurt on the 10th I beleive, Dec 8th would be the original 4 week time line

Showed him last night back on the ice.  Said he could be slightly ahead of schedule.
