Maybe I'm just missing something but Kadri outscored him last season and has a higher PPG in the last 3 seasons and in their careers. Killorn's most frequent linemate is also consistently Stamkos.
I don't think the deal is bad or anything really, but I kinda figured that Killorn would have been someone Tampa looked at first when it came to cap causalities. They still have Kucherov to sign this offseason and Johnson/Palat next offseason. A defensively responsible winger who can score 40 points playing alongside Steven Stamkos seems somewhat replaceable when push comes to shove.
I guess we'll see what they do though. Unless they can move Callahan or Filppula (both have NMCs) they might actually be forced to expose Killorn in the expansion draft next summer. Stamkos, Callahan, Filppula, Johnson, Kucherov, Palat, and Drouin would probably be their 7 forwards to protect.
