Game Notes

LA
?Jonathan Quick (5-0-1, 1.99 GAA, .938 Sv%) will likely start for the Kings
?Post-Darryl Sutter life for LA has been good: they have the bset P% in the league so far, they're 3rd in goals per game and 1st in goals against per game
?Dustin Brown is playing like it's 2011 again, as he leads the Kings in scoring (along with Kopitar) with 11 points in 7 games
?LA was dealt a blow a few days ago as they lost Jeff Carter to injury indefinitely after a cut to his leg
?Yes, that is former Leaf Brooks Laich on LA's 4th line. Laich signed with the team a few days ago after attending their training camp on a PTO

TOR
?Andersen (5-2-0, 3.41 GAA, .892 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Unless the Polak? Roman signed a contract with the team yesterday, we'll have to wait and see how the defence shakes out. But at practice Rosen was paired with Carrick and Borgman with Polak. That was before we knew of the contract, but if Rosen is the D to get sent down like many suspect we could see Borgman-Polak tonight

Injuries

?Jeff Carter - Ankle - Out indefinitely
?Kyle Clifford - Upper Body - Out indefinitely
Code:

?Nathan Horton - Back - Out indefinitely
?Joffrey Lupul - Actually Injured - Out indefinitely

Likely means that Borgman-Polak will be the bottom pairing, and Moore stays in at 4C.

Doughty says our D isn't good enough... he's just planting the seed.

Either that, or he's lobbying to be part of it? :P

"You know what I think the Leafs need to win the Cup?  I'll tell you it's a RHD that can play the PP and the PK, put up 40-50 points a year, and eat up about 25 minutes a night...but he won't come cheap."

July 1, 2019: You're 29 now and we have just won our first cup. If you want to have the privilege of playing for THE TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS you will need to work with us on salary, EVERYONE wants to be here.

I don't think they have been fair to Fehr. I always go with the horse that wins and he was on for 4 wins. I liked him more than Moore.

While I do agree with you that I think Fehr's been better than Moore thus far, it's important to remember that Brett Lebda has a cup ring. :P

Fehr was hardly the horse that won. He was more like the fly riding the horse that won.

Agree with Ferraro -- perfectly good hit.

Yup. Clean hit. Take the number, and lay him out with a clean hit later if you want revenge. Don't drop the gloves for a good check.
