That was two good teams, playing a very good playoff game and we came out on top. Losing the first point to San Jose still kind of sucks but we have a chance to take 5 of 6 on a 3-game West Coast road trip.

Nothing is definite with this team. Likely starter, yes. And to be truthful, Stolarz was very good but I don't think he had to make a 10 beller. The team played great D. So they can do it when they want.

They have some very good players but they stick to the game plan and every line seems to play the exact same way. That team will give everyone fits in the playoffs, especially if you try to open it up against them.

Im not necessarily ready to rank that as the "best leafs game in a while". I think it was a very good 3rd period, but I don't think the 1st and 2nd were particularly "good".
I'm also not ready to commit Stolarz as the playoff starter either. 3 or 4 games ago, the story was flipped. Woll was emerging as the starter and Stolarz was faultering. Need one of these guys to show consistency. So far, there hasn't been much.
In other news, good luck getting Tavares at that home town discount everyone is hoping for.

The only angle that showed contact clearly was from a pretty deceptive angle, so I can definitely see why the officials thought it was inconclusive and stuck with the ruling on the ice.

Let's see what happens in May and June.
For the 2 weeks after 4 Nations, Marner was being valued at $14.5m x 8. I even heard 15m.
Today with his drop in play, people are saying numbers with a 12 handle...maybe 13.
By May it might be 12m plus some coupons to Kee to Bala. Or even the "Stamkos bye bye."
That being said..... Tavares is an inspiration! Turning in the jets at the right time.
