Game Notes

TOR
?Campbell (15-2-1, 2.07 GAA, .927 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?The Leafs will be without Justin Holl for this game. Holl took a puck to the face on Saturday and is still feeling a little uncomfortable. He's not expected to miss much additional time beyond that
?Liljegren took Holl's spot at practice yesterday. It's not clear if that was as a placeholder if Holl could end up playing or if he'll suit up alongside Muzzin tonight

MTL
?Primeau (1-1-0, 2.95 GAA, .893 Sv%) will likely start for the Canadiens
?2 straight wins and Vancouver losing 4 in a row has put Montreal in a very comfortable playoff position. With Winnipeg losing 6 straight they're starting to look up in the standings as opposed to down

Injuries

?Justin Holl - Face - Day to day
?Zach Bogosian - Upper Body - Injured Reserve
?Zach Hyman - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Frederik Andersen - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Riley Nash - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Scott Sabourin - Hand - Injured Reserve

?Shea Weber - Upper Body - Questionable Monday
?Tomas Tatar - Lower Body - Questionable Monday
?Paul Byron - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Carey Price - Concussion - Injured Reserve
?Brendan Gallagher - Thumb - Injured Reserve
?Jonathan Drouin - Personal - Out indefinitely

I would be quite interested to see Muzzin-Liljegren

I took a quick gander at the 2017 draft thread to re-live the memory of him get drafted. 1) Our excitement of the pick was pretty funny... I still really hope he lives up that to hype. 2) I noticed that Scott Wheeler of the Athletic had Jason Robertson (Nick's older brother) as a guy the Leafs should be considering at 17. He eventually went 39th and is having a Calder-worthy rookie season right now. Would have been pretty neat to have both Robertson brothers.

Josh reads my GDTs... unlike some people ;)

Hopefully the Leafs beat that hope out of them this week.

5 of Winnipeg's next 6 games are against Ottawa and Vancouver. Montreal really has basically no room for error if Winnipeg can get their game back even a little.

What I'm really hoping for is for Calgary to be within 6 points going into their 3 final games with Vancouver after everyone else is done.

Yeah. That would be pretty funny - though, it would really trash the potential for the North division to be able to begin the playoffs within a few days of the rest of the league.

If that happens, I'd also like to see Vancouver within a few points of a playoff spot. Have those games basically be a potential play-in round for both teams.

Maybe if Dubas had been running the show in 17 he might have taken him. Just shows you what a crap shoot it is after the top 10. I have no doubt Liljegren will be a top 4 d man for us at some point.

The top 10 is no guarantee of anything :)

Drafted/undrafted prospects really need the right organizational fit and the right development path for their game. Very, very few players can just dominate their way through organizational ineptitude.

This goal is brought to you by Nylander?s forecheck breaking up the breakout play.

And much further up the ice, Nylander corralling the turnover in his own zone and fighting off a couple of blatant holds to get the puck moving out.

Galy had a big impact on that goal as well.
I was shaking my head at those 2 grabs on Nylander with no call. Not shocked anymore.
