Game Notes

TOR
?Mrazek (8-4-0, 3.07 GAA, .894 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?After the wild game on Saturday the Leafs had the day off, so it's unclear if Keefe will go right back to Campbell or give him the night off. I'm guessing we see Mrazek with the start though

WSH
?Samsonov (17-9-3, 2.85 GAA, .904 Sv%) will likely start for the Capitals
?36 year old Alex Ovechkin might be starting to show his age in a long season. After scoring 20 goals in his first 25 games he had just 12 in his next 27 and 3 in his last 10. We all know how much he likes playing the Leafs though so this might be just what he needs to get going again

?Pierre Engvall - Illness - Questionable
?Travis Dermott - Illness - Questionable

I can't see Keefe going with Campbell tonight. Maybe against the Sabres but if Mrazek is in tonight and gets the win, he gets that game as well. Hope to see Robertson play another solid game.

I want to see Mrazek start the next 4 in a row. Let?s see what we have in him. He?s healthy and being paid as a starter. Let him start.

Same lines, Mrazek starts. Wouldn't have minded seeing Lyubushkin swap spots with Liljegren.

Agree.  I think the net should be his to take.

Even if Mrazek is bad in the next 1-3 games I think Jack should sit. He needs to clear his head.  Give him a few days off.  Hell, if we can pull it off, have him sit in the pressbox and get a game away from the ice so he doens't have to prep to be the backup.

I think you have to kind of play it by ear. Go with Mrazek tonight and maybe even the next game but if he's awful both nights you're not going to keep running him out there.

That said if he is bad in the next two, I think we're at a point where trading for someone at the deadline goes from option to necessity.

I would like too see Robertson have some shifts on the 2nd line.  Might breath some fire into JT and Willy
I was thinking this too, as well as maybe giving him some PP2 time.  I?d love to see him be given the opportunity to use his offensive skills!

I wouldn?t mind seeing

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Mikheyev-Kerfoot-Nylander
Robertson--Tavares-Kase
Simmonds-Kampf-Spezza

Honestly, I?d like to see ALL the line combinations.  🙃

Yes that second line needs a changeup
I think Robertson should play with Nylander they would be great off the rush . And if JT is the center they have to watch for him
as the trailer.  But JT almost needs to play with a couple of grinders who will cycle the puck and feed him that way.
Could you imagine if Nylander could find that scoring again . And the BMM line kept going.
Seems like it is one or the other. I wanna see this team firing on all cylinders.
