Man, looking at that Ducks roster it's kinda incredible they have the record that they do.

Especially since they haven't seen the Sochi-version of Selanne this season. Just 7 goals and 20 points in 50 games.

If the team's going to play a west coast series of games, it's not a bad thing for it to be right after March daylight savings time.  Although I'm missing my hour still...

I was thinking about this, too.  It should take some of the edge off, at least.

This team knows they're up against some rough odds this week.  I hope they come out strong because of it.

And even though the original shock is there, at least there was a day off and all three games are in California.

Going west and getting 3 hours extra sleep is never a bad thing.

The Ducks home record partway through January: 20-0-2

Since their first regulation loss they've gone downhill at 4-5-2

Seems like it's very fortunate timing for the Leafs to play in Anaheim right now, as they should have a fighting chance to win.

Starting with Anaheim not's bad, either.  Obviously Carlyle will be motivated to win, not that he isn't for any other game.  His knowledge of their teams won't hurt.  Two points in any of these three games would be huge, but to get them in the first game would be a great tone-setter for California, and in the end probably most of us would be satisfied if they got 2 points for the 3 games.  Might as well get those points tonight, boys, and go from there.

Roast Duck!

Directions

1-    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2-    Rub salt, pepper, and paprika into the skin of the duck. Place in a roasting pan.

3-    Roast duck in preheated oven for 1 hour. Spoon 1/4 cup melted butter over bird, and continue cooking for 45 more minutes. Spoon remaining 1/4 cup melted butter over duck, and cook for 15 more minutes, or until golden brown.

We're going into an exhausting 5-game western road trip, starting with back to back games against two of the best teams in the league, and I bet you that 4th line still gets under 4 minutes tonight.

I would go back to 7 D-men and stick with it.

And around here it'll sound like a broken record, but FFS no McLaren/Orr.

RC has man love for both Mclaren and Orr, So at least one of them is in tonight.
I still think we win 4-3
