My confidence in this team has never been lower this season.  But I don't know, maybe that's just the 6-game losing streak talking.

A win tonight would go a long way into restoring some confidence in this team.

I think if they can pull off the win, they'll go on a bit of a streak that will land them one of the final playoff spots.

Of course, if they lose, it's pretty much curtains for the season.

A win would indeed be needed here, or at least a point. The Leafs actually have a favorable schedule to close the season compared to their biggest rivals for the 2 wildcard spots. Tonight and Saturday make up for their last back-to-back whereas the opposition still has plenty of those left (Det and Was each with 3, CBJ with 4). All 4 teams are currently tied at 80 points but the other teams have games in hand on the Leafs and only the Caps are behind in tiebreakers. Thus the Leafs will probably need at least 6 points from their upcoming 4 game home stand, and if they want to keep it a 4 team race they need to beat Detroit in regulation tomorrow. Two of the games during the home stand (CGY and BOS) are against an opponent playing the second game of a back-to-back so the Leafs have an advantage there and will hopefully seize the opportunity.

Flyers shook up their lines at practice a bit:

Hartnell-Giroux-Voracek
McGinn-Schenn-Simmonds

If the Flyers can put Vinny's contract on the 4th line, we can do the same for Hoppy's.

Call up Holland (we have the cap room now that Mac was sent down) and go with this as you're bottom-6:

Raymond-Holland-Bodie
Bolland-McClement-Clarkson

And Vinny's produced more this seasons than Flopsydoodle might in his career as a Leaf.

I like this.

I'm guessing it's Bernier the rest of the way, providing his groin holds up.

This is the final back-to-back of the regular season, so if Reimer doesn't start tomorrow we might not see him again.
