Game Notes

TOR
?Campbell (11-2-1, 2.24 GAA, .919 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?After starting the season 11-0 with a .934 Sv% Campbell has gone 0-2-1 in his last 3 games with a .833 Sv%. He'll look to turn things back around against the team who chased him out of the net with 3 goals on 6 shots last week
?Projected lines are based off Tuesday's game with Dermott taking Bogosian's place on the blue line
?With Foligno and Hutton both finishing up their quarantines and meeting up with the team it's expected that at least Foligno will make his Leafs debut. Now we just wait to see which line he starts with
?Mikheyev's injury is not considered serious and it sounds like he could return either today or Saturday

WPG
?Hellebuyck (21-12-3, 2.50 GAA, .919 Sv%) will likely start for the Jets
?Wheeler is expected to return to Winnipeg's line-up. He's been out with a concussion since April 5th
?Winnipeg will also have Jordie Benn, who they acquired at the trade deadline, in their line-up for the first time after he finished his quarantine

Injuries

?Ilya Mikheyev - Undisclosed - Questionable Thursday
?Zach Bogosian - Upper Body - Injured Reserve
?Zach Hyman - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Frederik Andersen - Lower Body - Injured Reserve
?Riley Nash - Knee - Injured Reserve
?Scott Sabourin - Hand - Injured Reserve
Code:

?Nathan Beaulieu - Shoulder - Out for season
?Bryan Little - Vertigo - Out for season

Hopefully Campbell can come up with a solid game. He doesn't have to be a superhero. He just needs to stop the shots that shouldn't go in.

I heard Jesse Granger repeatedly pronounce Foligno "fo-LIG-no" and and it irritated me way more than when people call Spezza "spez-a".

It's ok, I pronounce his name Gran-Grrrr

I really thought it'd be an ankle injury to Bogosian, but upon further review and the official announcement he's out with an upper-body injury, I think it's one if not both of his shoulders that got torqued when the rest of his substantial upper body mass slammed into the boards.

He skated off looking pretty fine which is why I actually thought he avoided an injury there, but yeah that also makes an upper body injury there make more sense.

I hope it's shoulder and not concussion. Literally everything hit the boards flush.

Rewatching it now, it's such a weird fall. Looks like it's going to be really bad but nothing in the actual collision with the boards seems too extreme. I don't think his head takes much of the force. I'm guessing it's more how he fell on his left arm/shoulder.

I think this was the guy on SiriusXM NHL Network last week who was brought in as an "Expert" to discuss the trade deadline.  As soon as I heard "fo-LIG-no" he lost all credibility in my book.

*googles how to pronounce Foligno properly*

Ah, yeah, people who ever pronounced the g are such idiots

*nervously tugs at collar*

Bring in azzurri, he'll tell you how all these Italian names are pronounced.

BTW, the "Mc" in "McFate" is silent.

The Matthews/Marner duo have had the most success this season with a big guy who work the boards (Thornton earlier this season, Hyman more recently). The Tavares/Nylander duo have had the most success with a skilled guy who can move the puck (Kerfoot anytime he gets a shot there, Gally more recently). To me that makes the top-6 lines both now and in the playoffs pretty obvious:

Foligno-Matthews-Marner
Galchenyuk-Tavares-Nylander
