is it really Bernier?  Last night on the SN broadcast they seemed to think Reimer was playing tonight and that babcock had pretty much said as much.

CtB's pretty lazy, he probably just copied and pasted the lineup from last night's GDT.

Love your GDT's!

Truthfully, that's definitely how I do them!

But I did search Reimer on twitter and didn't see anything saying Reimer would start, so blame twitter!

To bad I would really like to see JVR undress Schenn again

i don't really have anything against schenn.  i'm more than thrilled at how the trade worked out but I don't have any particular desire to see him fail.

Now that Bernier is functioning perhaps you let him run with a few more games and give Reimer a few more days to heal. Can you imagine Reims having an hockey stick with a crutch arm pad were the knob of the stick is?

So, 5 points out of the wild card...

Go Leafs Go ?

I can't cheer for them to lose.  And i like the way they're playing it's not like in past years where they were getting heavily outshot but were highly opportunistic so I vote for Go Leafs Go and let the cards fall where they may.  Like don't do anything crazy like be buyers at the deadline but i don't think they should pull a buffalo and actively sabotage the team.

I don't think they plan on sabotaging  the team, but when asked the other day about the playoffs, Babcock was pretty quick to dismiss it and talked about sticking to 'the plan'. I'll take that to mean they will be heavy sellers at the deadline, leaving little to no hope of reaching the playoffs with whatever pieces are left over. That may be a tough sell to some fans I f they are in a playoff position at the deadline.

It's a tough place to be as a fan. I want the team to lose so they can land a top-5 pick, but that was a great game to watch last night so part of me wants them to win too. At the same time, things are going well in terms of guys building up value for trades. Win now, trade big and then bottom out.

We can actually have the best of 3 worlds:
1) Keep playing well to increase value of guys for picks at deadline (and continue watching exciting hockey).
2) Still have a shot at Matthews or a Finn because of new lottery system and odds.
3) Continue with culture development and good coaching to create a system that when guys start coming up next year, they're ready to go.

... I would say still very difficult to make the playoffs considering almost everyone is at least .500 and the 3 point game. If they play .650 the rest of the way, well...

Plus Edmonton and their black magic will get Matthews anyways  >:(
