This is my first Keefer game.

I better be impressed.

Final verdict?

The team couldn't buy a fortuitous bounce for a month, and I think they got about 4 in the first period alone.

Glad they got the win, but man Detroit is a mess right now.  The roster wasn't great to begin win, then all the injuries...then a goalie that's probably pooping in his pants the whole game.

I think if they can pull off a back-to-back this weekend, and get Hutch a decisive win, that will set a new tone moving forward...even if it's against Buffalo both nights.

Yeah they got the bounces early but man they oushot the Wings 54-25. Exactly what you want to see them do to bottom feeder teams. Hope this is the kind of thing we can expect more often when they play non playoff teams.

They didn't get fortuitous bounces for a month because they got approximately 0 quality chances for a month. It's not a coincidence that as soon as they start emphasizing possession rather than dump and chase, the goals have begun going in.
