Leafs sign Gaudette

Depth forward who once seemed a little promising in Vancouver a few years ago. Wouldn't be surprised to see him with the Marlies (unless someone claims him off waivers cause Leafs).

The organization definitely needed to boost their centre depth a little after losing a bunch of guys last season.

Meh...but I'm far less upset about meh signings when they are 26.  Getting younger with our depth means some of these guys could still have surprise breakout seasons.

a 1-year, $750K deal is never a gamble for the Leafs ... could be anyone.  I don't care ...

These are also basically no risk signings. If they don't work out, they play out the season with the Marlies with no impact on the cap.

I mean lets be honest, he won't get through waivers when we put him in the AHL.  Other GMs need to be able to laugh about unnecessary waiver claims.
