Interesting to see McKegg get the call up and not Carrick whom I thought did a nice job earlier in the year.  Is he injured?

amazing that Suter averages 29 plus minutes a game...That's impressive.. .903 save percentage..with how we shoot that should equal a few goals if we can get shots on him...Lets grab at least a point and move on

That's a pretty big if, considering the Wild are the best shot suppressing team in the league, and the Leafs are in the bottom 1/3 in terms of shot generation (and have been especially weak at it recently).

Sounds like Panik will actually be good to go tonight. Here's hoping he plays with Kadri instead of stupid-head.

Kadri didn't practice yesterday or skate this morning.

jonasTSN1050: Carlyle doesn't know if Nazem Kadri will be available tonight. Wouldn't say what the injury is.

I'm sure there'll be a time when "Wild" sounds less stupid as a team name but...nope, not yet.

The Penguins were considered a god awful name by many when they came into the league. Still are IMO. A stanley cup usually legitimizes a name pretty quickly.

Figure it's a charlie horse/knee from that hip-check he took against the Bruins.

Yeah.  He came back quickly but that's the kind of thing that can really tighten up on you a day or two later.  The flip side is, he's probably better off sitting in the tub, getting a massage and stretching than taking part in practice if he is going to play tonight.

If there's no Lupul, Holland, and Kadri I'd like to see something like:

Winnik-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Santorelli-Panik
Komarov-Smith-Clarkson
Booth-McKegg-Ashton

Switch Winnik and Komarov if you want. But I think you have to break up that top line if those 3 are out to spread things out more. Obviously I'd rather have Booth or Ashton in Clarkson's spot but gotta be somewhat realistic.

The people who thought that about the Penguins were wrong. It's alliterative, specific to winter and plural if nothing else. "Wild" is barely a noun. It's easily one of the worst names in all of sports, let alone hockey.

These guys probably run it close

Bozak-McKegg-Smith-Winnik down the middle? Eesh. Should have at least moved Santorelli there to strengthen that.

The Leafs have had 3 shots already and not scored. Big mistake not waiting 15+ minutes to have a shot and let the opposition goalie fall asleep first so they can score on their first shot again
