He's currently at GAA 2.58 and .914 SV% over 26 games (nhl.com), and 2.18 and .926 over 83 career games.  Obviously most of it with the Rags. He's 28 years old.

Reimer has 2.03 and .934 in 20 games this season, and has career numbers of 2.51 and .915 in 195 games.  He's 27.

Anyone think Reimer gets less than this deal?

I would think Reimer falls somewhere in the $3-4M range per season, but I would be surprised if that deal comes from the Leafs. I don't know enough about Talbot, but I would think Reimer's injury history would bring the price down somewhat.

If there's a team looking for a starter, no, absolutely not. Reimer's been inconsistent, but he's closer to having shown he can handle the starter's job than Talbot has.

I don't but I don't think that it's quite as one to one as you make it sound. By virtue of trading for Talbot after his years as a back-up(and paying the price they did) they clearly were making an investment in their belief that Talbot could be their starter. Clearly his start to the season hasn't dissuaded them from that belief.

So if Reimer gets a comparable deal it's not going to be because of a dry statistical reading. It's going to depend on a team out there having a similar belief in Reimer.
