EDM
?Stuart Skinner (15-13-4, 2.91 GAA, .912 Sv%) will likely start for the Oilers
?Recently acquired defenceman Mattias Ekholm is expected to join the Oilers at practice Wednesday and is hoping to make his Oilers debut against Toronto

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (22-7-2, 2.30 GAA, .918 Sv%) will likely start for the Maple Leafs
?Jake McCabe and Sam Lafferty are expected to make their Leafs debuts against Edmonton. Whether Schenn or Gustafsson join them, either in the line-up or just at practice, remains to be seen still

I think the league should let the Leafs dress 9 defensemen so long as we promise that none of them are very good.

They're not starting Campbell for his revenge game?
Seeing how he's played this year, it's probably wise not to start him against the Leafs.

I know he's been terrible, but man, how often do you see a goalie leave a team and then NOT start the first time he plays his old team?  Who knows if he plays well maybe it's a jumpstart for him for the rest of the season?  I think his problem is mostly between his ears.  When he's confident he plays well. Right now he has no confidence.

If you're hanging onto a wild card spot I'm guessing you're not going make any lineup decisions for sentimental reasons.

This could be a circus for us, what with 90% of the roster being turned over.

Other than McCabe and Lafferty entering the lineup for Sandin and Engvall, isn't this going to be the same roster that played on Sunday?  I guess Liljegren/Nylander could be thrown off a bit losing their fellow Swedes.

I certainly wouldn't rule out Campbell starting, Oilers don't announce their goalie until day of. Neither goalie is posting great numbers recently, although Campbell looks like he's getting better goals support and therefore has a better record. Since January 1st they are:

Campbell 9-1-3 with a .894 Sv% and 3.02 GAA
Skinner  3-4-3 with a .897 Sv% and 3.21 GAA

Campbell had an 8-game winning streak snapped a few weeks ago and has lost 4 straight since then (first 3 in OT/SO, last one he was pulled after giving up 4 goals on 14 shots against Columbus).

This might be a bit overblown. There are no core changes. Everyone coming in has moved around quite a bit before and knows the drill. The top two lines that drive this ship only picked up Ryan O'Reilly, who has already demonstrated he not only fits in, but elevates the group.

If anything, it gives Tampa and Boston more work to scout for weaknesses (Sandin and Engvall already shed).

Probably should put your Willy away when talking about inches.

Schenn is joining the team later today and Gustafsson is going to meet them in Calgary so neither player is dressing tonight. So really today is just going to be McCabe in for Sandin and Lafferty in for Engvall.

Any chance Schenn bumps Holl? Holl and Reilly seems like a pretty awful combo considering the options Keefe has now.

It was tongue in cheek.
