Philippe Dupuis

I am not really sure what he has done to maintain his spot in the line-up.  Personally, I would rather see Darryl Boyce playing in his spot on the 4th line.  Dupuis isn't overly fast, has not shown that he can be dangerous offensively, and in not very intimidating on the forecheck.... I think that Boyce is slightly better in all of those categories and is very dependable defensively and also proved to be a good penalty killer last season.
Dupuis is an ok depth guy, but i think it's time to try someone else to help give the team a little more spark.

Yeah Dupuis is just -- there. He hasn't done anything all season that you could point to and say "good job".  If he could at least kill penalties effectively it would be something.

Dupuis is on the ice the 2nd most for our PK, and has the best forward GAA on the PK.  He's actually the guy who has been most effective on the penalty kill for the team.  Don't take one bad incident last game (the high stick that was very reckless) and equate it to bad penalty killer.

I miss Gary Valk. If Jagr can still score in this league, Valk can probably still feed him his lunch.

This. Dupuis has been about as effective as one can expect a 4th line player to be.

Yup, agreed, I think we have bigger things to be worried about than a 7 minutes a night 4th line guy. Him imrpoving from being mediocre to good isn't going to have as much of an impact as  getting a PK, improving the team defence, clearing players out of the front of the net etc
