So this is kind of following on from Rick's post over on the main forum about Leafs/hockey podcasts.
Are there any podcasts of any genre that you've listened to and would recommend? Share them here!
There's a couple that I really enjoy.
1 - BBC Radio Five Live Kermode and Mayo's Film Review - this is a weekly show on BBC Radio reviewing movies, it cocvers the UK top 10, that week's new releases, DVD releases etc. Obviously it is UK based so the release dates may not match up, but it's a fantastic listen with 2 really good broadcasters who have created a show that you could probably listen to even if you weren't a movie watcher. The quality of guest and the quality of the interviews with those guests is a different level also.
2 - The Teacher's Pet - this is one of those "true crime" things that seem to be very popular at the minute. Focuses on an Australian rugby league star/school teacher, his disappeared wife and his school girl that he taught mistress from the early 1980s.
3 - Nike Trained - I found this one lately as the episode that caught my attention was with 3 time Crossfit Games champion Mat Fraser. However as a bit of a fitness geek I found the other interviews to range from interesting to making me quite... incredulous. Obviously it's a bit product placement-y but all the interviews are well done and range from topics on things like nutrition to sleep to trying to break records (an episode by the scientist who ran the attempt to run a sub 2 hour marathon) and even mindfulness.
