Why is Orr in the lineup?
Although Orr doesn't score... at all, he fights the heavyweights.  He had 112 hits in 290 minutes.  (That's .386 hits per minute for Orr, compared to .175 hits per minute for Clarkson)  If you take the 1st-3rd line right-wingers out of the equation, you're looking at scorers in the 11 to 4 point range.  I would rather have an enforcer on the bench then someone like Matt Frattin if all he's going to do is put up 7 points in 44 games.  For that kind of offence, you might as well skip the occasional shift by Orr and stick on a Kessel or someone for an extra shift.  Heck when the Leafs had Bozak, Stajan, Grabs, and John Mitchell as centers, Orr even had 6 points.  In 2009-10, John Mitchell as the fourth line center had more assists then Holland(5), Jay McClement(6), Trevor Smith(5), and Smithson(0) combined.  Guaranteed Orr isn't going to make plays, or even finish many of them.  But his non-production has to be an alarm to the depth of offence for the other players on the 4th line as well.  Maybe the real answer is not to get rid of their best hitter and fighter, but to find a 4th line center, who can kill penalties, but also can generate more offence then a Jay McClement.

He'll probably fight the guy that nailed Clarkson.

A) No one "nailed" Clarkson. He got into an unnecessary fight and it ended with him breaking his orbital bone. B) Orr hasn't been in a fight since January 10th, and only fought 6 times last season any way. He doesn't seem to be as willing to take on the heavyweights anymore.

Hits on their own are pretty useless and in Orr's case is likely an indication that he often never has the puck - can't hit if you have it.  Frattin putting up 7 points in 44 games is still more valuable than Orr because he's not a liability every time he's on the ice.  When Orr's on the ice he can't handle the puck offensively and he can't play defense well - Frattin has shown the ability to play offensively well and is good enough defensively.

He provides nothing and the fact we're bringing up 'hits per game' in a vain attempt to attribute something positive to his game should demonstrate that.  His inability to play anything other than a handful of minutes taxes the rest of the lineup because, no matter what, when he's in the lineup the rest of the lineup will play more.  That adds up over a season.

But maybe he won't make the team.  Will suck if he does, but maybe he won't.

They're fine as commentators.

I agree. While I don't love Millen, he's a perfectly adequate colour guy. I like Romanuk more than Bowen as the play by play guy. I feel like he has a better grasp of the game.

I don't get why the defensemen are so often set up on their strong sides on the powerplay. Franson's got a great snap-shot from that side, but otherwise they completely take away one-timer opportunities.

They had the same issue last season. I don't get it either.
