Half of Chicago's roster playing in their first NHL playoff game. The other half are going to feel very old, very soon.

Oilers in three.

Would the most chaotic thing to come out of the playoffs be this?:

Chicago, who were not in a playoff spot at the break, winning the Stanley Cup

Edmonton, who were in a playoff spot at the break, getting Lafreniere.

Edmonton's decision to start their second best goalie is surprisingly not paying off so far.

I don't think Smith can be faulted on 3 of the 4. Some offseason defensive play on display.

I'm keeping my mouth shut on this because if anything happens tomorrow night I'm hold every last one of your responsible.

Pretty sure that's just standard Edmonton defensive play. But yeah not all on Smith for sure. But when a coach tries to galaxy brain that kinda decision by going with a worse player because of "experience" it rarely ends well.

Yeah, I think the old time honoured "go with the vet in the playoffs" is probably to blame, but if there's ever a time to buck convention it's certainly now. There's no crowd to amplify rookie nerves, and you're starting at game 3.

Hey, I logged in to see Herman post Nylander gifs in this thread since he's playing, and there's nothing.

Consider this a formal complaint.

Nice. And by that I mean it made me laugh. Crying will be later
