TB
?Andrei Vasilevskiy (34-22-4, 2.65 GAA, .915 Sv%) will start for the Lightning
?Tampa is dealing with some injuries from game 1: Cernak and Eyssimont have been ruled out for game 2 while Hedman will be a game-time decision
?Tanner Jeannot, who missed Tampa's last 3 games of the regular season and game 1 of the playoffs, skated on Tampa's 4th line at practice on Wednesday and is considered a possibility to play

TOR
?Ilya Samsonov (27-10-5, 2.33 GAA, .919 Sv%) will start for the Maple Leafs
?Toronto will of course be without the services of Michael Bunting as he serves the first game of his 3-game suspension
?Matthew Knies appears set to take Bunting's spot on the game roster. The rookie skated alongside ROR and Acciari at practice on Wednesday

I'd have taken Holl out. When I watch the replay on the first goal against Hill could have completely flattened Perry but instead does...Whatever the hell he did, and lets Perry go to the front of the net.

Hopefully the nervousness has subsided and they can get back to structured hockey tonight.

I?m a little worried Marner is playing with a minor injury. He hasn?t been the same since around game 77-78. We need him dancing out there.

Go Leafs Go!

Justin Holl better watch who he touches on scoring plays

Edit:
More importantly and of actual value: maybe the Leafs should start the game with a bit of extra vim and vigor to you know, win the puck races and establish their game.

Yeah Marner hasn't seemed himself.  Concerning if he's hurt

I'd have subbed Simmonds for ZAR or Lafferty. Somebody needs to tune Perry up. Put him to a stretcher.

Never see it although I'd love to. Changes to the blue line needed to be made but Keefe loves his favourites. Although we gave up 4 goals on the power play and our PK specialist Holl was on the ice for all of them plus 2 others we throw him back in. The goal by Perry coming out from behind the net and Holl letting him waltz around was unbelievable to watch. Lilly will be lucky to see the ice with this coaching staff. Hopefully a better start and the refs let them play. We drop this one going to be tough to come back.

Big fluff ball. Toughest hockey was right before the trade deadline he was hitting people playing hard and using his size. That ended quickly.

I wonder how many lessons the Leafs learned by not showing up to start the game.  I hope they don't need to study that subject again tonight.

My guess is that the bolts will expect the leafs to come out flying, and will collapse, frustrate, and counterpunch.

OT win buds.

Were these the game 7 refs from last year?

I get the frustration with the calls, but at some point you just have to park all that stuff and only focus on what you can control.

Remember the year when Philly beat the Leafs in 6 games?  One of the games went to double or triple over time and the Leafs lost 2-1.  Ed Belfour was amazing in the loss and was probably the only reason it went that far.

They asked Ken Hitchcock after the game if the team had it in their heads that they might never score on Belfour.

His response was something along the lines of "You can't ever let your team think that way, because then it becomes a convenient excuse as to why you lost"

I'm hopeful that's not what the refs become for the Leafs.  They have to play better.  They have to play harder tonight and they have to be better than Tampa, and if they aren't then they will definitely lose.
