Obviously necessary with Reimer and Sparks out with injuries.

It's funny though, just yesterday there was word that he might be close to signing with a KHL club. Now he gets a chance to at least show if he has anything left here.

Well I'm pretty sure it happened in Wilkes-Barre since he was there for the Marlies game.  I guess they could have hopped over to Scranton and borrowed Dunder Mifflin's conference room.
