Beyond how bad the Leafs can look defensively I don't get how ineffective TO's PP can be, those 5 forwards should at least be able to generate a shot every PP per game?

Said it a million times they pass it around way too often. Always looking for that pretty goal it seems instead of keeping it simple. That's on the coaches to. Either get on them to shoot more or change it up and play the 2nd unit more. Team comes before egos sorry.

I'm a little more concerned about how stationary the PP continually looks. There's nothing wrong with passing and looking for open/quality chances but when they aren't moving it's pretty much a fruitless plan of attack. Granted we're talking about a 9th overall unit, so it's not like they have been awful, but that's the main issue I see when I watch them out there. Slow, stationary and predictable.

Yep.  This happens every year, and gets worse in the playoffs.  Just baffling that they can't attack the net more effectively.

Andy made a late comment in the Kraken thread and I thought I'd re-post it here (with my reply) in case anyone wants to comment on how the PP goes tonight.

Great, I can't wait to see how nicely they score the 5 power play goals they will undoubtedly pot tonight ;)

The wings aren't a bad team but they kind of lack that top end talent...

Agreed.

Wings 6
Leafs 2

Ha!

Here's hoping we'll get something closer to that Marner 4 goal game from last year instead of another Coyotes-type bottom feeder performance.

A couple decent chances on the PP, some decent puck and personnel movement, but no shots and no goals, unfortunately.

I liked the movement, that's a start.

Refs feeling it tonight

Nothing like fixing a bad call by making another bad call.  Incompetence all around

Having one shot more than half way through the period is certainly a different start than the Seattle game

I really don't like how the Leafs have played the last few games.  Problems are brewing.  They need to shake out of this nonsense
