-The NYC marathon has been cancelled. This follows international outrage over the earlier plans to race on Sunday. Sorry Nick Kypreos!

-The Giants and Steelers will play on Sunday but Pittsburgh's travel plans have been ruined. The team will now fly into New York on Sunday morning, play the game, and fly out Sunday night.

-The Bridgesport Sound Tigers (Isles AHL team) will be holding their Saturday and Sunday home games for FREE to give back to the Hurricane-affected community.

-The NBA's Brooklyn Nets already had to postpone their Thursday game against the Knicks but will play their home game against the Raptors as scheduled on Saturday.

-The MLS' New York Red Bulls have had their Saturday home game against DC United moved to Washington.

The Red Bulls and DC United have agreed to flip the order of their Eastern semi. The Red Bulls will now host the 2nd leg of the series.

As for the marathon, I know it's considered one of the 5 or 6 top events in the world, but the original thinking of going ahead with the event was seriously flawed.

Doesn't Nick have a lower body injury? Maybe this could actually benefit him unless the race is cancelled for a calendar year..If it's just moved to later this winter, then it maybe, I dunno, for lack of a better term," dumb luck" for Nick Kypreos.
