If this team can play against the bottom of the league as well as they play against the top of the league...

He is unlikely to check in, anyway, barring a mishap at the morning skate/warm ups.
My original instinct was to take Holmberg out for him because I think I'm pretty much done with him, at least in the top-9, but I guess with Matthews out we want as many C's playing as possible. Maybe he can swap in tomorrow or Saturday for Reaves and get a shot at the 3rd line.

I'm not a particularly big Steeves guy but with the start he's had in the AHL he deserves a game. Especially considering the need for somebody to spark L3.

Yeah, Holmberg was about to be the heir apparent to Kampf's role, but it's not working. He's more of a support winger.

Steeves is the same niche as Robertson, and that's already a sheltered role. The lineup is already supporting Domi as well (albeit elevated into the open on L1), so might be hard to squeeze in an extra zippy little guy. Does Reaves sit out a Tom Wilson game?

refs ignore a blatant trip in Knies and then call a trip on Holmberg 10 seconds later
