Game Notes
OTT
-Anton Forsberg (5-9-1, 2.92 GAA, .889 Sv%) will likely start for the sens
-It's been a rollercoaster of a season for the sens. They had a 6-game winning streak in the middle of December. Immediately after that they went 1-5-1 in their next 7 games. Right after that they had a 5-0-1 stretch. That's led them to their past 2 games which have both been shutout losses against teams they're currently chasing in their playoff race (BOS and NYR)
TOR
-Joseph Woll (17-8-0, 2.69 GAA, .907 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
-The Leafs find themselves battling with injuries yet again this season. They're now short 4 regular forwards (5 if you count Jarnkrok) and that will likely result in the NHL debut of 22-year old forward Jacob Quillan

Looking at that injury list, it's like we are back to late November early December in terms of numbers of wounded bodies.

Is it the Berube system that results in this long list?

One thing my friend from St Louis told me is that the media there was always criticizing Berube in the regular season for sitting players at the cost of losing games.... but then when they saw him deliver an energetic team in the playoffs and eventually a Cup, they hailed him as a wise, experienced coach.

So maybe the answer is YES, the larger injury numbers are related to the Berube system.... at least to the extent that he is Load Managing and slow walking players back to the ice.... getting them ready for the Big Show: The Playoffs.

How amazing would it be if we could see Jarnkrok, Hakanpaa, plus Stolarz, Tavares, Knies all healthy for April. If Hakanpaa is playing well.... we won't need to spend assets for a mid level D.

If Jarnkrok is playing well.... he's played Center before and is speedy enough to play 3C.

The Chief is wise. The Chief has a plan. The Chief has delivered before with his plan.

In Chief I trust!

I said of all teams I hate the Leafs to lose to it’s the Habs…but if the
Habs are expressed as 1.000 the Turds are .999
