Feel free too Add to it.

This is the kind of crap we as Leaf fans just don't get. here is my list of crap moves for this up coming season so far.
-Kulemin. A keeper for the bottom six, tough and a filler for the top six during injuries. Now why is he not signed?
-So lets trade a top two D(Gunnerson) for a 5-6 D, and also toss in a pick. Also pay some of his wage. This one gets a WTF.
-Komorov, another no brainer for our bottom six, why is he not signed?
-Why are the minds in charge, not fixing the Riemer thing. As far as I am concerned we have two solid goalies and they should be a non issue.
- The coach. I wont even go there, what a stupid move that was.
- Are they having problems finding assistant coaches for poor Randy?
- Lets hope it don't get to bad before they are done.

Paying players that don't play for us.  The cycle continues with Gleason.
Why is Orr still around?
Clarkson.

Reports are he's not interested in a bottom six role or being paid like a bottom six player.

Gunnarsson is not a top 2 on a decent team. He won't crack St. Louis' top 4.

Probably because he wants to test the market to get the biggest offer available. Just because you think he'll sign at a price doesn't mean he will.

If Reimer wants to go to a team where he'll be looked at as a #1 then there's nothing the Leafs can do to fix that.

They might. Or they just want to deal with the coaching staff after the draft and free agency.

Kulemin apparently wants to play with Malkin so unless the Leafs somehow trade Gleason for Malkin, it's not gonna happen

Gunnarsson is a #4 or 5 dman on most teams.

Nobody has any idea what Komarov is asking and refusing to pay big bucks for a 4th liner seems like a good move..no?

As for Reimer, I'm sure the Leafs are currently happy with the situation of having two solid goalies. They're not asking Reimer to move,  Reimer is asking them to move and can you blame him? It's tough to fix a situation when the guy wants to be a #1 and you already have one.

The Gunnarsson trade has to do with the organization having confidence that Reilly and Gardiner can grow this year, so if your against those two having bigger roles and developing then ya, I guess that trade sucks

You know what, at this point they can pay me not to play for them or cheer for them for that matter.

Ich bin steamed.

All in all, not such a bad 1st day of free agency for the Leafs. Their deals all have some warts on them, but, none are devastatingly stupid or anything, or even clear mistakes. Just some run of the mill free agency overpayment/overcommitment.

Now that was a good day, I like the moves they made. We also have plenty of cash left for another deal or signing.

Once Franson is trade with Reimer. we will need one defense and IMO a real back up and mid 6 player.

I have a hunch all will work out with Reimer ,and am hoping we resign Kulemin. One more free agent, and Marlies can fill any other holes. Then the biggest thing is can the coach bring us a better system.

As much as I like Reimer, he asked to be traded, and I dont see him staying, but that is just me.

Lets hope your wrong, we need to keep both of our goalies they could both be #1s ,and I think going forward this is as good as we could want. Reimer and RC will patch things up.

I am with you on this one nutman.  I hope for the exact same thing.

No.  Carlyle likes to see Bernier/Remier face 40+ shots every night.  He prefers to see Leafs defencemen chase other players around the ice for 2 minutes.  He prefers to see other teams be in possession of the puck in the Leafs zone and be able to make lineup changes on the fly.  He prefers the Leafs offence to go down the ice, take a shot on net or lose the puck then watch the other team get possession of the puck for 2 minutes.  If Carlyle has another style, where was it last season?
