The strange disappearance of Ron Wilson?

slapshot

What's up with this? Has he packed in hockey altogether and road off into the sunset? I am sure some wouldn't be displeased with that.  But I haven't heard a sniff about him from any media.

Does anything think he'll resurface in any capacity? With his last job, people may not be clamoring at his door. Or has he become a hermit? It would be interesting to hear his thoughts on:

1. His firing by Burke.
2. Burke's firing by the new ownership
3. Kadri and his comments about Carlyle vs Wilson
4. Why his PK and GAA sucked so bad?
5. Why the wheels came off last season?

He made have so much disdain for the press now that he'll never reappear. If he wrote an honest tell all book, it would probably be a great read. But I doubt that's his style. I think he's just done with it, but it would be interesting to see how he feels and that he thinks.

I did not like him as a coach, but that time is over and I don't feel like beating a dead horse.

As just another guy out there trying to get through I feel badly for him. Yes, he is being paid well still now, but he was heckled right out of that ACC and it has to really suck for a guy that his last stand in the public spotlight might be that kind of humiliation.

No, I don't feel the need to know what he is doing or what his comments are now. If he wants to remain private then good for him.

Agreed.

Yeah, it's curious that he's gone quiet, but I don't really care to know anymore.  If he wants to remain private leave him be.  He's been paid well enough the last few years that he shouldn't have to worry about enjoying life now.
